Jersey Shore Hospital is pleased to announce Mark Rice as the hospital’s new Chief Financial Officer.
Rice, who joined Jersey Shore Hospital in 2010 as the Controller, is responsible in his new role for overseeing the financial, accounting, and budgetary process of the hospital and its affiliates.
Rice graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lycoming College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics, and is a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant. Rice is also a 2007 graduate of the Leadership Lycoming program.
Prior to joining Jersey Shore Hospital, Rice worked as a Financial Analyst at Thermal Product Solutions, a business unit of SPX Corporation, in White Deer. Rice was not a stranger to healthcare when joining the hospital team, however, as a previous 11-year position as a manager at ParenteBeard (previously Parente Randolph) allowed him many interactions with Jersey Shore Hospital and the healthcare field.
“Mark Rice has been a valuable asset to Jersey Shore Hospital over the last few years,” said Carey Plummer, President and Chief Executive Officer. “His hard work, extensive accounting experience, and diverse financial background made him the ideal candidate for Chief Financial Officer.”
