Jersey Shore, PA (March 24, 2008) - With construction moving towards completion and the current parking lot construction underway, Jersey Shore Hospital is now offering patients transport from their vehicle to the Hospital entrance and vice versa. On Monday, the Hospital began the construction for the parking lot in preparation for the opening of the 45,000 square foot addition scheduled to open in late July or early August.

"Patients now have to park across the street in the Kerr Avenue lots," stated Rachael Ulmer, Director of Public Relations for the Hospital. "We do have handicap and emergency department spaces available, however, the majority of patients will have to park in the adjacent lots. In an effort to assist patients and their families during the construction, the transport is available from Monday - Friday beginning at 7:00 a.m." The transport service is operated by volunteers at the Hospital and will continue through the duration of the six-week parking lot construction.
