Jersey Shore, PA (April 26, 2007) - Another large step was taken towards Jersey Shore Hospital's $2.5 million Capital Campaign goal today. The Hospital Auxiliary presented Hospital officials with a check for $28,000. The majority of that money will be used to provide patients with an Activity Room in the Bridges Unit for therapy and socialization.
"Our Auxiliary has always been extremely supportive of our Hospital," stated Hubert Valencik, Chairman of the Board of Directors. "This generous contribution will provide our patients with an area where they can enjoy the benefits of therapy and socialization away from their rooms. For this we are tremendously grateful."
The Activity Room will be located in the new 45,000 square foot addition that broke ground in November. The new addition will offer patients a new Emergency Department, Surgical Suites, Radiology Suites including a Women's Health Suite, new Inpatient Rooms and a new Lobby and Central Registration area. Steel structures are scheduled to be set into place at the site during May.
