Jersey Shore Hospital Announces New CEO
Jersey Shore, PA (May 10, 2007) -Jersey Shore Hospital officials announced today that Carey W. Plummer has been named President & Chief Executive Officer the Hospital. After a lengthy and thorough selection process, Hubert Valencik, Chairman of the Hospital Board of Directors released the following statement: "The Board and Search Committee have selected Mr. Carey Plummer as the new CEO of our Hospital. Mr. Plummer has a very extensive leadership background and we feel he will be an asset to our vision and guide our Hospital in the direction that is necessary in the healthcare field today."
Plummer has over 30 years of hospital administrative and financial management experience, including experience in the healthcare construction arenas. Most recently, he served as Executive Director/CEO of the Winsted Health Center Foundation in Winsted, Connecticut. Prior to his experience at Winsted, Plummer served as CEO at a 42-bed behavioral health facility in Maumee, OH and as CEO of Henry County Hospital, a 50-bed non-profit hospital in Napoleon, OH.
Plummer's 30 years of accomplishments offer Jersey Shore Hospital expertise in construction leadership, financial stability, physician recruiting, aggressive marketing and community involvement.
Mr. Plummer will begin as President & CEO at Jersey Shore Hospital on June 4, 2007.
