Hospital's new Web site offers a 'healthy dose' of Doctor DotCom for web
visitors
 JERSEY SHORE, Thursday, May 31, 2001 --- The doctor is in at Jersey
Shore Hospital's new Web site. Doctor DotCom, the animated doctor, was unveiled
as an innovative communication tool on the Hospital's comprehensive Web site of
health information and services at www.jsh.org.
.Doctor DotCom will be used to present a "healthy" portion of the
health information on the Web site in a fresh and enjoyable way. He will
simplify access to information in a fun, refreshing manner.
The site offers an in-depth listing of all the Jersey Shore Hospital's
health care services and offerings. Included under some of the services such as
radiology and laboratory testing are detailed menus outlining preparation and
procedural information that can assist patients having various procedures
performed at the Hospital.
The service areas listed on the site include: Cardiopulmonary; Child Care;
Community Outreach; Emergency; Inpatient Care; Laboratory; Nutritional
Consulting; Occupational Health; Outpatient Surgery; Physical Therapy; Poison
Control Center; Radiology; Sports Medicine; and Women's Health.
The user-friendly site features a physician search that will permit users to
locate and select a doctor that best fits their medical needs quickly and
accurately. An events calendar will also be made available to provide visitors
with an updated schedule of upcoming hospital events and happenings.
Additionally, the site will serve as a gateway to one of the world's most
recognized names in Internet health information -- Intelihealth.com.
Intelihealth.com is a trusted source in providing health and medical news,
information and research tools to numerous prestigious institutions of
medicine, and now, it is available to users of the Jersey Shore Hospital Web
site. For those visitors craving more thorough technical medical information,
the site also offers a medical library featuring links to many of the world's
leading medical journals.
"We have worked hard for the past year to make certain our new Web
site offers an aggregated and invaluable source of information to our patients
and the general public. In addition to offering the typical assortment of
information on hospital services and physicians, our goal was to produce a

Hospital's operating activities.
