Woolrich Gifts Jersey Shore Hospital With $250,000 Pledge

Woolrich, PA - Roswell Brayton, Jr., President and CEO of Woolrich, Inc. announced through the firm’s Charitable/Goodwill Committee a pledge of $250,000 to Jersey Shore Hospital Building Fund. The pledge will be distributed over a five-year period at $50,000 per year. The building project consists of a new, two-story facility for inpatient and outpatient services and renovations to parts of the existing facility. This renewal will allow Jersey Shore Hospital to continue its mission into the second century -- caring for the community and ensuring access to quality medical care.

Speaking on behalf of the hospital, Hubert Valencik, Chairman of the Board, said, “Jersey Shore Hospital is pleased to receive this pledge of confidence from Woolrich, Inc. to continue to provide quality healthcare to their employees and the community at large. We are both a vital part of the community and the surrounding area.”

In making the announcement, Roswell Brayton, Jr., said, “The employees, directors and shareholders of Woolrich are pleased that they are able to contribute to the future of health care in our area. Without community institutions like the Jersey Shore Hospital, rural areas, such as this beautiful area where we live, would find it difficult to compete with more urban areas. This ambitious project undertaken by the Board of Jersey Shore Hospital helps all of us who live in north central Pennsylvania. The people of Woolrich, Inc. are excited to be participating in the hospital building project. We are all proud that Woolrich has taken a lead role in improving community health care.”
