Jersey Shore Hospital - Bridges Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Jersey Shore, PA (June 25, 2003) - Jersey Shore Hospital officially celebrated it's Bridges program on Wednesday with an Open House and Ribbon Cutting ceremony. Bridges offers extended care to "guests" who are recovering from an acute illness, injury or surgical procedure but no longer need acute hospital care.
Mrs. Annie Thompson, former guest at Bridges, cut the ribbon while Mr. Hubert Valencik, Chairman of the Board, officiated the event. Mrs. Thomspon was a guest at Bridges and has experienced a successful recovery. Refreshments and tours were provided to visitors.
Bridges offers Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing Care, and Recreational Activities. Guests are encouraged to participate in daily living activities, while receiving therapy, to further prepare them for a return home.
