Bariatric Services

Jersey Shore Hospital currently offers a consulting specialty clinic for gastric bypass surgery. This Bariatric Clinic was formed so that patients who are considering surgery wont have to travel out of the area to receive care.

Christopher Motto, M.D., of Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, has partnered with Jersey Shore Hospital to begin the Bariatric Clinic. Dr. Motto travels to Jersey Shore each month to see Bariatric patients.

Dr. Motto’s Bariatric program begins with a one-on-one visit with the patient, includes working closely with a registered dietician and also consists of having a customized exercise plan developed for each candidate. All of these services are available within the hospital.

Other program benefits include health monitoring and comprehensive lab work, medical and individual progress reviews, individualized meal plans, behavior modification for lasting results and monthly support group meetings.
